Design Tip Thursday! Clear that clutter!

This blog idea was given to me by a sweet client of ours, who wanted to know about putting decor above her kitchen cabinets.

Ok, so there are a few quick, easy and inexpensive ideas for those who have that awkward cabinet space above the top.  I am definitely one of them!


Idea #1:
If you really need the space for extra storage, then baskets are a great option!
They clear the clutter and add a pop of color.

Make sure your baskets vibe with the decor of your room.  These help to clear out any clutter, but you still get to use that space if you need it!  It would be a great place to store picnic items or holiday dishes. 

Idea #2:

If you would rather have the space clear and clean, a plate display would work here.  A very small, staggered plate display should be hung on the wall to eliminate that weird view point from the floor.  

This idea still allows for a clean look, but you still get to display a little something.
