Inspiration Wednesday

This week, I have been inspired by unity.  
Unity is defined by  a whole combining all it's parts into one.  With the recent events in Boston, the way everyone came together to help or immediately run into the chaos to rescue people, without blinking an eye, is amazing.  Those heroes and those who have been spending all their time and energy to help people are the true inspirations.   The actions of these heroes go to show that there are good people in this world and we will continue to pray for the strength and comfort of all the families and people involved.

Happy color Tuesday!

Bright green, apple green or lime green can be either a fun or very intimidating color to work with.  But, as with all bright colors, if you use them in pops or one strong accent with this color, it is beautiful and so fun.  It is a great cheer color that pairs so nicely with lots of other colors.  It is a very versatile color and if used in the right way, it can be beautiful and subtle.

Cool Find Friday!

Ok, I stumbled across this on pinterest and could not believe how cool these are.  They are called Bubble Tree Tents, they are not yet available in the US as far as I know.  But, they are one of the coolest things!  It is just like sleeping in a bubble, they come in several different models and sizes.  I like the fully clear one, if you don't want to sacrifice the view of where you are then bubble tree is the way to go!  Hopefully, they will be in the US sooner than later.

Design Tip Thursday!

If you are having guests over for a dinner or party, opt for fresh flowers as a centerpiece.  There is nothing prettier than having a vase full of colorful, fresh flowers.  It doesn't have to be a huge arrangement, just any container full of whatever flower stands out to you and ties into your table setting.

Inspiration Wednesday!

Lately, the WARM WEATHER has beens so inspiring to me!  It has inspired me to do projects around the house, deep clean, and organization!  It has been so nice to be able to sit outside and enjoy the warm days we are getting occasionally.  The flowers are blooming outside and the weather has been getting nicer each day!  Happy Spring Time!

Color Tuesday!

Today's color is red!  A color that many people are a little leery of putting into their homes.  But you can do red in a beautiful way!  A beautiful way to do red, is to pop it into the room.  Use it on accessories such as throws, pillows, curtains, vases, etc.  It won't be too overwhelming and you can still get to use this color in your room!

Just a few pops of red really stand out in this room!  Love the pillows.

Organization Monday

Jewelry can easily get out of hand if not contained in some way.  The best way to store jewelry is to put away your pieces that don't get worn as often and separate/display the pieces that are most worn.  A jewelry armoire is a great way to store lots of jewelry and hair accessories!  Keep your most worn pieces closet to where you get ready for easy wear & go.  You can get  creative with how you store your most worn pieces.  From making your own jewelry holder to using a decorative bowl, you can tie in most any accessory to your decor.
